Most people believe that emotions are automatic responses that they have no control over. Few realize that their emotions are determined by what they think, and that concrete techniques exist for gaining control of their feelings. In this course, you will learn more about the specific skills to increase your EQ so that you can interact effectively with family, friend, and co-workers.

Details : Interested in meeting diverse nationalities, to learn more of their culture, histories, languages, philosophies, and wisdom? Then, you must join us! You will learn many interesting things, have fun, and make new friends, local and foreign.
We aim to guide our foreigner guests, esp. residents and new citizens, to better understand our society, cultures, languages, goverment, law, recreation, food, etc ... There will be a series of talks, exhibitions, tours, discussions, movie screenings, and especially social outings.
While we show them our Singapore Way, we would certainly be learning their Ways. Our activities are equally on local content, as on foreign. It will be exciting, interesting and stimulating!! So, see you soon ...

| Community First-Aid (CFA) Programme |

Details : The CFA programme is a very short introductory course on basic first aid lasting a total of seven hours. Focus is on the important life-saving skills everyone should know. Participants in this programme will learn how to perform life-saving resuscitation, manage traumas like burns, scalds & deal with emergency situations like unconsciousness both at home and at workplace. Please note that volunteers who sign up for this course are REQUIRED to volunteer as trainers.
The CFA course consists of 3 modules.
Module I : RESUSCITATION SKILLS (Heart Savers).
Module II : TRAUMA FIRST-AID.
Module III : NON-TRAUMA FIRST-AID.

All participants will be given a CFA training manual for reference. Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a CFA certificate valid for 3 years. Course fees will also be fully-sponsored by the CDC ONLY for participants who volunteer themselves as trainers for the CDC’s CPR programmes that aim to equip students with CPR skills. Otherwise, participants have to pay $5 for each module they are signing up for.
Choose from the following dates:
25 July, 22 Aug, 19 Sept, 24 Oct, 21 Nov, or 19 Dec
Course starts from 9 am to 5 pm
